I have an administrative account on my laptop which I only use for installing software and such. Otherwise I log in using a non-administrative account. I used my administrative account to download and install MagicDraw.
The files are all set for 'other' access that permits the software to run properly, so it doesn't seem to matter that the installation files are owned by the administrative account. There was one file permissions tweak I necessary to get the software started. Read through the 'readme' files on the software, including how to install it.
